Episode 041: Building the Hard-to-Kill Human; Stage 1- The Tactical Mindset

Have you ever felt uncomfortable walking down a dark alley at night? Have you ever felt less that adequately prepared for a natural disaster? Have you ever wondered if first responders would arrive in time if your life depended on it? If any of this sounds familiar, then you’ve come to the right place. In this episode, we begin a very exciting discussion about how to literally make yourself “hard to kill.” This will actually be a four-part series. In parts 2 through 4, we work our way through a top-10 countdown of “hard to kill” skills. Each of these skills is broadly applicable, but also specific enough to be practical and trainable. In this, the first episode in the series, we lay some of the groundwork, discuss what it does and does not mean to be “hard to kill,” and take a close look at something we call the “tactical mindset.” How do you observe, approach, and interact with the world around you? Are there things you could be doing that will improve your odds of seeing tomorrow? Probably. Those specific actions are exactly what this series is about.
